Time Management Tips for Hustle Babes
Today I wanted to share some time management tips to help you be more productive and cross off more tasks from your ever-growing to do list! Remember we all have the same amount of time in a day as Beyoncé, so it’s really all about how you manage your time that can make a huge difference in your productivity. Having time management skills is crucial to getting more stuff done and really who doesn’t want to get more done in a day?!
These are some of my favorite time management hacks that help me be ultra productive during the workday and get more done. Having a side hustle also requires some serious time management skills, so I wanted to share what I’ve learned about time management after starting my side hustle.
Do your hardest tasks first
You know those tasks you’ve been putting off because you just know that they’ll take a long time to complete? Well do those tasks first thing in the morning and you’ll set yourself up for success! I promise!
Prioritize your to do list
I love to do lists and keep many different to do lists to keep myself accountable! Did you know that having a long to do list can actually make you less productive?! So it’s important to prioritize all the different tasks you have so your list is manageable.
My favorite way to do this is to determine my top three tasks of the day that either really need to get done by the end of the day or are a high priority(or both). These three tasks are what you should focus on completing by the end of the day. Then at the end of the day, spend a few minutes reflecting on what you got done and what you didn’t get done to help you prioritize for tomorrow.
Make time to FOCUS
Having somewhere you can go to really focus on your big projects or tasks is really important. Whatever method you use to help yourself focus, whether this is in an open space or locking yourself in an office, make sure to do this when working on your hardest tasks.
By knowing what methods make you focus the best, this will help set yourself up for success throughout the day and get your important tasks done.
Schedule Your Day
Using a planner or an online tool like Google Calendar, is so helpful to help you plan out your schedule for the day. I personally love using Google Calendar for all of my blog planning and schedule my time out in blocks to help myself be more productive.
During the work day, I tend to put time blocks on my calendar as well for when I
really need to focus on getting bigger tasks or projects done. By managing your time in blocks, you are able to figure out what you have going on that day and see when you have time to work on the bigger items on your to do list.
